Research shows that 5 out of 5 people hate bugs in the Yelp app*. So, we gave the people what they want. A bug-free app.
*This research was conducted with the 5 people who sit by my desk.
Going to keep this short and sweet—we got rid of some bugs in the app. Truthfully there’s just not that much time to chat this week. We just got a cactus. That has nothing to do with why we have no time, historically there is very little effort to taking care of a cactus. But thought it’d be nice to share.
We’ve decided to start referring to “performance improvements” as “app engine calibrations” because it sounds cooler. Therefore: For this version, we’ve further calibrated the app engine. See what we mean? Also, we fixed a bunch of bugs.

Like always, we got rid of some bugs. But not like always, we tickled the bugs before they left. Is that weird? Anyway, thanks for reading our release note.
Head’s up, we’re working on a bug spray for the app. Fingers crossed for an early 2020 release date. So far it works. But only on real bugs. So, a real rollercoaster of emotions over here. But until then, we’re just getting rid of bugs the old-fashioned way. And we did, they’re gone.
What if instead of “bugs”, we called errors in code “puppies”? On second thought, that’d be no good… nobody wants less puppies in their app. (We did remove some bugs though. Carry on.)
